Best time to Enjoy –
Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg – All these places are located in different directions from Srinagar as you notice in the Map. I would suggest , spend one day for each of these destinations to enjoy , that includes the travel time to reach the destination and return to Srinagar. I personally feel, the Month of March will be enjoyable for Pahalgam . The climate will be very cool and the mountains dressing in white will be a treat to Watch. If you are lover of Gardens , then prefer to go in the month of June.Srinagar Map
As far as Kashmir is concerned, 144 is very common and Kashmiri natives seems they are used to it . on our first day visit , we came to know that 144 is imposed on Srinagar from 6 AM to 6 PM and we needed to start our Journey before 6 AM and need to go out of Srinagar City .

River in the Middle

On the way to Pahalgham , we had a short break for Tea. I heard that, there are five rivers that flows through Kashmir. Absolutely there will not be any water scarcity for these people.
